Why Learn About the Holocaust?

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -George Santayana


I picked this quote because if you cannot remember the Holocaust, you will not know how to stop it; If you cannot stop it, it will repeat.
Some have said "It will never happen again; at least not this day in age." But events even WORSE than the Holocaust are happening right now (if you don't already know) and nobody is taking action to help them.

If you were in these innocent Jews' shoes, wouldn't you want somebody to have your back?
